To add to Simon's post, the info that Rotax 177 needing 2 sets of tyres per meeting depends on where you race as at Dunkeswell you can get 4 meetings out of a set including practice and they appear to improve with age to the point many of us run testing laps to bring the tyres to their best for racing at Dunks.
Naturally your choice must be based on where you live as to travel any distance these days will be a big lump of the cost of racing.
The Blue situation at Dunks has been dire, indeed the club offered a practice & entry fee for this weekend's meeting of just Ł15 and only 4 entered, whereas 177 has 17 at the moment which is the smallest grid of this season!!
