If you have a 100cc National spec motor I would say yes. When the BT82 first came out and 100 UK was launched, a friend of mine bought one new. We tested it at Rye House against the 100cc motors of the day and also against some older stuff including a 100cc National Hewland Arrow and the Arrow was a good deal faster. My friend who bought the 100 UK BT82 rig went home disappointed... but then he was fed up of the reliability issues with 100cc National, so the decision worked out well for him in the end.
If you have a 100cc Britain spec motor, I would need to defer to Dave or somebody else who's done back to back testing.
