Surely the point about this idea is that it means no one would bother spending/wasting money have engines built to blueprint or simply cheat, because if they created a super quick engine they will loose it the following week on a fixed price buy option from a competitor, hence the problem goes away.
RoadRat has pointed out though it relies on KNOWING that all engines are "legal" before you enter the system, and that must be almst impossible starting from where Honda Cadet has found itself now.
Has the idea been confirmed for 2009 or is this still being banded around as an idea to solve the problem of chequebook racing in the class?
