You have to be careful when choosing a tyre purely on cost, quality has to come into it as well, there is not much point in having a £50 set of tyres if they wary by 2-3/10 per batch.
We have raced on all the current tyres and by far Bridgestone are the best...there slicks and wets are very consistent....by far the worst are Rotax/Vega wets...the differance between each batch is huge!...I know of serveral teams that have at least 6 sets of wets per driver and test them all on the same (wet)day to find the best set....and there can be up to 1 sec differance per set. Personally I think Vega have very poor quality Control.
