They're junior maxs, so no power valve and the chassis are pretty heavy weight Birel corporates so the performance is definately blunted. They feel very slow compared to a senior but because of the confines of the track they were fast enough. Around MK I hear they do about 66 second laps compare to just under 60 for a senior. As corporates go, that's pretty good.
I think they must have been running them quite lean, they'd do 1:45 on a tank and seemed to pull reasonbly well from low revs - no real problems with spluttering or oiling up that I noticed. The biggest problem seemed to be dying batteries - our first battery lasted around six hours, but by the end they stuggling to do a stint.
