30-40 laps I'd say we lose about 2-3 tenths though if the track is well rubbered in its less and more if the track is more slippery
2-3 meetings we lose about 4-8 tenths depending on wear, track conditions and whether the tyres were any good or not
Ultimately though you can take care of your tyres by getting the set up right, an oversteery kart will exhaust the back tyres much quicker and an understeery kart will exhaust the fronts
Some drivers have been known at some events (especially those with pre-final and final) where they suffer early problems in heats, to abandon the remainder of the heats to save tyres
They then compete the finals with a much fresher set of tyres, giving them a big advantage
