if your just starting out you need to gain confidence and to do that on a dd for your fist kart is difficult ,that's apart from getting the technique of starting it on your own :( and getting so fed up of pushing it back to the pits or waiting for your mate to come with the trolley you can get disheartened very quickly ....... you cant go wrong (in my opinion )with a clutched engine started with a hand held starter start on your own easy , if you spin will most likely keep it running if set up correctly ,and you will have more confidence when breaking knowing you wont stall if you mess up so tkm clutched have fun
