Yup.... it MIGHT save weight..... but not enough to matter.... much!

However, I, too, realised why he might be doing it but rather hoped that I could make the point to a wider number of readers. You guys read my reply so others may have as well.

The test is simple..... does he have a helmet spoiler..... if he does..... then he's a kart-tart, regardless of what else he might claim (Tee hee!)....! Controversial....? Moi....?

P.S.... Hinesy (R.I.P.) showed a good way to lose weight, years ago: he cut off all the ends of bolts on the kart which were beyond the 'nyloc' and thus a waste of space...... and found he had a collection of 'ends' that weighed about 1 kilo....
