...results. Every winning chassis in Rotax to KF1 will have a 50mm axle...there is a reason for this, and its nothing to do with all the companies buying from the same supplier...its all to do with the testing and racing..top international race teams
, are fanatical testers, nothing is left to chance, if a 40mm axle was better they would use it...so, they have done all the testing so just copy them...I have no idea whu 50mm is the best option, but I,m sure its nothing to do with the stiffness of the axle, we have used some very soft 50mm axles in the past...some very stiff ones as well, but very very soft also.
