Yes realisticly the 3 sets of tyres a weekend fraternity hardly exist in normal club racing which is what 95% of the karting world actually do!
Obviously more expense will make no difference to this 5% of people but as obviously they are the ones splashing the big cash around they tend to have a disproportionately loud voice compared to the rest of us so I guess thats where this sort of thing comes from but its certainly not going to really benefit the majority.
I mean can anyone actually say they have been at a normal club meeting and overheard someone say "you know what this club needs - live online lap timing" maybe better toilets, resurfacing or catering etc but never online lap times! :)
