Welll.... not really. It's usual for a club to appoint a committee who are instructed to collect and spend the funds on their member's behalf. If not, your club couldn't function as no-one could ever spend the fees on... for examples: track hire, medical help fees, insurance, etc..
Obviously, we are NOT talking about Wilton here but... would you like your committee to agree to hand over all the money that they have saved from your fees (for PROPER expenses such as renewals, expansion and improvements) to someone who THINKS they have found a clever ploy to take their assets?
Please be assured, I don't know ANY UK club where that's happening ...
