If open racing is so bad and so disliked then why has Hooton got such big grids?
Open racing is fair, if you want to splash the cash on the best tyres you 'can', if you just want to put any old set of tyres on and save money, have fun and still race then you 'can'.
Racers always have an excuse as to why they are getting beaten, but all I have seen in 'open' IKR is the best racers finishing towards the front of the grid and the not so good racers finishing towards the back of the grid. It's exactly the same in MSA racing.
The only thing that needs to be fair is the weight limits and everyone on the same engines, the rest should be left open. If you want controlled racing then go and race in MSA.
