Andy - don't worry mate, advice at our level is always appreciated.
My concern was that the squish was only 0.04mm off being below the legal limit and with the rate that the carbon was building up, it wouldn't be too long before it would become illegal ! With the vagueries of scrutineering - or should I say tolerances - I don't want to risk my lad being disqualified.
Is there any way of maintaining a particular squish level once it reaches an optimum - using different oil during practice for example ? I seem to recall that the comers used to do something similar, switching back to Shell M when actually racing. Or is this a daft idea ? :)
