Race instructor had one very valid key point to make - would X30 have parity over all engines when they have supplied thousands like rotax have. At present all X30's are all out of a much smaller production batch so you would expect them to have parity.

So in the short term X30 would be a good bet, in the long term with many units and ancillaries to select from, maybe not so. Unless you are a mega team and can afford to select out the best. This might be why most of the major teams are not jumping into X30 as they can't buy an advantage?

That said I feel X30 do have parity more so than Rotax across the same sample, and I have no allegiance to either.
