A month or so ago the CoC came and sought out my younger son after his heat when he started pole.I thought we were in trouble for something!,but he shook my sons hand and said it was the best race start he had seen in years.He held the pack back even until well after the acceleration line, which seemed to catch loads of drivers out and by the 3rd or 4th corner ended up with a massive lead. Did it a couple of weeks later and the first 3 on the outside row got dq'd for jumping the start. Ended up with fried brakes both times but there are advantages to using your head(and the acceleration line on pole at the start
