Interesting first paragrah in an article on the "other" site.
"I thought my eyes were deceiving me. The tyres that still to this day I hear drivers wishing they had back in TKM – the Maxxis SLC – were being raced at Clay’s round of its IKR Championship across all of its classes. I had thought they were no longer available, but there they were, £70 a set and they have to last the championship. Yes, £70 and they have to last several rounds of racing! It’s an immediate cut in the costs of racing compared to the softer compounds often in use today."
I for one would welcome the return of the SLC's and would definately appreciate a 50% reduction in tyre price.
Comments welcome :)
