Agreed Alan if 'exotic' the is the limiting factor in the rules. Magnesium has got to be as exotic as titanium! How could you possibly define it!!
The bumpers for sales we a good price for what they were, I they would have been too wide rather than too narrow I might have bought one to see if my TIG man at work could weld it back together. Looking at the properties - very strong and much lighter than steel.
Would have thought the 'kart police' would have limited strength in comparison to the norm; racing around in a 'light exotic tank' might not be fair, but or course it wouldn't matter if the same rules dictated and they were enforced as non contact!!!
