I've got a 3+ but it fell off my kart and hit by a few karts following me. Surprisingly it still works although I had to change the lens, get a new battery and fix the case but it's not right and doesn't cope with vibration very well anymore.
I've been looking at replacing it and am considering the Garmin Virb Elite. It's can be bought new for under £200 - probably not the same quality as go-pro but you can use the same mounts, I'm sucked in by the overlay you can add that comes from all the GPS data. You can also set it to switch on once you reach a certain speed - it's quite easy to forget to turn your gopro on I find...
