I have been here in 2011, i got my lad a cadet when he was 6 and it was a big mistake, and he was (and still is) quite tall for his age.

As your lad is only just turning 7 please get a bambino. He will not have the upper body strength to handle a cadet, i would advise a bambino for 1 year, then go cadet at 8 years old. You want to fill him with confidence and the smaller and lighter bambino will allow him to grab hold of it and throw it around with confidence. Even when my son was 4 foot (120cm) it was too short for a cadet.

Am just trying to be helpful, at the end of the day safety comes first and for me bambino is the safest route as he will have more grip than the latest poxy cadet tyre
