Super 1 or British championship is a business and forms an income stream for John and his family and he wants as many drivers and classes as possible and isnt bothered about qualifying through clubs to ensure they stay prosperous he wants the paddock full. Karters will go where the best racing is and the best facilities are that suits there standard of racing and aspirations, upto the clubs to keep the track and facilities upto scratch. I think though that the numbers of karters is going down which is probably the same in any hobby or sport, too much choice out there these days and also karting has become way expensive
