You could be right, it could be codswallop I agree......I have no conclusive data that backs up my theory, bus based on what I know the sand blasting process does, and sharp the abrasive media thats used, my overall point is thats its a risk not worth taking for me......but each to their own and all that.

Dont get me wrong, I like our gear to look nice, last years I spent a small fortune on a custom suit and helment vinyl wrap, all in the theme of a Knight, and it looks lovely on track, heres the little fella
